Happy Birthday to Me!

Sunday was my birthday but my kids took me to dinner on Saturday. We had a great meal at Bayside in Newport Beach and then went back to my daughter and her husband's place for surprises! Instead of a cake, they got yummy cupcakes from Sprinkles. There was a variety of flavors so we picked four, cut them in quarters and enjoyed a sampling paired with pink champagne.

The apartment was glowing with all the lights and decorations for Christmas. It all made for a very fun, tasty, and might I add classy celebration. Those kids are so clever.

A champagne toast with Jason.
He gave me a very stylish water decanter and glass for my bedroom. Another way to go green, no more plastic bottles on the nightstand.

Cuddles with Sarah and Pedro.
They bought me a new game, "In a Pickle", which we played after the cupcakes. It was lots of fun and we shared many laughs.
A fun birthday night. Thanks guys, I love you.

Happy Birthday Deborah!!!! Better late than never as the saying goes. By the way, your sketches at the zoo are wonderful. Animals are difficult to sketch, as you say, they're always moving, but you did great. They are fantastic illustrations. Best wishes, Martín.

Happy Belated Birthday, Deborah, and your ATC (which was returned to me -- the envie was too small) is again on its way -- almost a month late, but coming!

Been enjoying all your beautiful watercolors online! And your day looked VERY special!

I am late posting to this, as I've not checked your blog in a while. Hope you are doing well and that you had a Happy Birthday, Christmas, and New Year! You have let your hair grow out since I met you. You look very young, BTW, long hair or short! I check in on your blog from time to time. Your sketches are wonderful and inspiring. I keep thinking that maybe I'll get motivated to get back into drawing again.

I have recently started a blog, but it is very amateur, since I'm not very computer literate. I have realized how much comments mean now to a blogger, so I'm trying to do better about leaving them.
