Day at the Getty

Spent Staurday at the Getty Villa in Los Angeles with some girlfriends. I took my small sketchbook and watercolors. While they took a tour I walked arould on my own and did some sketching. I added watercolor at lunch with the girls in the Villa Cafe. Then we were off to explore some more. I just did small drawings of things that caught my eye and were interesting to me. It was a beautiful day but still cold. Great group of friends, some old and some new. We talked about planning a trip to the Getty when our weather gets warmer.

Hi Debbie -- I'm SO impressed with your blog! It's very professional, and I love the fact that you can share your work. I'm always interested in what you're working on, and this is a neat way to keep us "non-artists" posted on your exploits. I had a great time at the Getty too. Let's do something like that again soon! XO Toni

I remember visiting the Getty Museum 28 years ago when they were in their old location. They have since moved of course but what a wonderful and memorable experience that was. Love your art journal and little snippets of what you viewed and enjoyed. Annie

These are beautiful sketches of things that caught your fancy. When are you planning to go visit the Getty again? Early summer?
